This project is a fun little game that utilizes the Steam API to create a game where you guess the name of a game based on a screenshot or user-created review(s). The frontend is built with React using JavaScript and CSS, and the backend is hosted on Digital Ocean. This project was created to be a fun little side project that I could work on in my free time.
This project was created for a very specific purpose and is used to help document and track 3D printed files and models to make sure the process of finishing orders goes smoothly. This project is containerized within Docker to make sure it is lightweight, using a yaml service file to create infrastructure on the fly. Currently it is being hosted on an AWS EC2 instance purely for viewing purposes but is also being used locally for purposes of the client.
This project uses simple API calls to the Spotify API to take a weekly refreshing playlist given by Spotify and save it to a separate playlist to be browsed at any time. The frontend of the project utilizes the web framework "Flask" as well as some HTML and CSS to create a webapp frontend that is easy and to maintain and add on to later.
The Website you are currently on was completely made from scratch. Even though I have experience working with web frameworks like Django, Flask, and ASP.NET. I found that it would have been more satisfying and showcase my skills more if I were to create my portfolio website on my own, without the help of a web framework or online website builder like Wordpress or Wix. All of the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript you see is written entirely from the ground up, and hosted on a Digital Ocean droplet.
